The Productivity Tablet Heavyweight Fight
Tale of the Tape
The Breakdown
Performance
M5 obliterates everything—desktop-class performance that actually runs pro apps. Snapdragon 8 Elite is excellent for Android. Lenovo Dimensity lags behind for heavy tasks.
Display
Samsung massive 14.6-inch screen is a joy for multitasking. iPad Pro OLED is color-accurate and gorgeous. Lenovo matches size but brightness falls short.
Productivity
iPadOS with Stage Manager and full Photoshop is a real computer replacement. Android tablets still struggle with app optimization and DeX is half-baked.
Battery
Samsung leads with 12 hours of real use. Lenovo manages 11. iPad Pro OLED efficiency is worse than previous Mini-LED models.
Value
Lenovo gives you a massive OLED tablet for $300 less than Apple. Samsung undercuts Apple by $100 with more screen. iPad commands the Apple tax.
The Verdict
iPad Pro 13 M5
The iPad Pro M5 wins because it is the only tablet that actually replaces a laptop—desktop apps, pencil precision, and performance that never stutters.
Android tablets are great for media consumption but fail at real work. The iPad Pro runs Final Cut Pro, full Photoshop, and Logic Pro—actual professional applications. The M5 chip chews through 4K video editing that makes Snapdragon tablets choke. If you are buying a tablet to get work done, nothing else comes close.
