The Breakdown

Picture Quality

Samsung's QD-OLED delivers the most vibrant, saturated colors with perfect viewing angles. LG's OLED evo is refined and accurate. Sony prioritizes processing with the best motion handling and upscaling.

Brightness

Samsung hits 2,000 nits in HDR—unmatched among OLEDs. LG reaches 1,800 nits, which is excellent. Sony tops out at 1,600 nits, sufficient but lagging behind.

Gaming

LG and Samsung both offer 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz, and full VRR support. Sony only provides 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and 120Hz—fine for console gaming but limiting for PC.

Smart TV

Sony's Google TV is the most intuitive with excellent app selection. LG's webOS is polished but ad-heavy. Samsung's Tizen is feature-rich but can be sluggish.

Value

LG delivers flagship picture quality and gaming features for under $1,900. Sony charges $100 more for inferior brightness and gaming support. Samsung's premium is hard to justify.

The Verdict

The Winner

LG C5 OLED evo

LG C5 OLED evo delivers the best balance of price, performance, and gaming

The LG C5 OLED evo proves that LG is still the OLED company to beat. With 1,800 nits of peak brightness, four HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support—all for under $1,900—this is the TV that checks every box without emptying your wallet. The picture quality is reference-grade accurate, gaming features are unmatched, and webOS 25 is genuinely useful. Samsung's S95F QD-OLED technically has the best picture with 2,000 nits and the most saturated colors, but the $300 premium and lack of Dolby Vision sting. Sony's Bravia 8 has the best motion processing and upscaling, but only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and lower brightness make it hard to recommend for the price.

But consider:Samsung S95F if you want the absolute brightest, most colorful picture and don't need Dolby Vision
